Title: Account manager (inside sales)

Location: Sandwich / Kent

Valk Solar Systems, a Dutch manufacturer of solar PV mounting systems, is looking to strengthen their UK based team. Their extensive range of innovative products, like the ValkPro+ flat roof system, is well known all over Europe.

Working with a small focused UK based team and alongside the Dutch office; the successful candidate will be responsible for actively promoting, offering and handling all products and services to both new and existing customers in order to help achieve the company's ambitious goals.

Responsibilities

Deliver profitable growth, through the development of orders from both new and existing accounts.

Provide product quotes as required, handling orders and transport to the customer.

Continuously updating customers on product changes and modifications, service and pricing.

Understand customer requirements, providing technical assistance and ensuring the delivery of optimum solutions.

Performing maintenance and updating of customers’ accounts in the ERP system for future sales.

Keeping up to date on new products, services, procedures and tools by self-learning and attending training and company meetings.

Liaise with Dutch colleagues on a daily basis.

Scheduling appointments and visiting customers to review product needs where applicable (role is mostly inside sales based).

Assist with on-site training for customers.

Infrequent assistance with picking and packing of the materials.

Essential Experience

  • Experience in sales
  • Strong technical background

Desirable Experience

Experience in account management and developing growth with existing and new accounts in the Business to Business sector

Experience in cross selling

Knowledge of supplying materials in the building or electrical sectors

Solar PV market

Knowledge of solar PV mounting systems

Personal Specification and Requirements

Effective communication skills

Customer focus

Team player

Negotiation skills

Planning and organizing skills

IT Skills (MS Office, Outlook)

Full UK driving license

Standard office hours but must be flexible when required

Maximum of 1 hour travel time to the Sandwich office (no relocation)
